we finshed many jars of heavenly pear and vanilla jam in time to make a new batch of roast capsicum relish, and then a double batch of very berry jam because we have a new freezer (a timely donation from bob and sandra mottram - eternal thanks and a lifetime supply of jam to the good people), and just had to fill it with delicious berries.
as it's friday i made some dukkah and really good aioli for our sunday corn fritters. having roasted too many sesame seeds i made some tahini with the rest. simply sesame seeds and enough olive oil to facilitate a paste in a blender. actually it tastes just like the bought stuff.


and i've got some sourdough bread on the go. this is fruit loaf - full of hazelnuts, dates, currants, sunflower seeds and cinnamon. it's not cooked yet, just rising away in its own sweet time.

and this is a more plain one - just oatmeal and sunflower seeds, dusted with cornmeal.

and here are some of the fruit designs i'm hoping to eventually print on tea towels and t-shirts etc...
